Friction Modifier FM-40

FM-40 is a friction-modifier concentrate for petrol and diesel engine oils. Its active components form a thin, easily sheared layer on metal surfaces, which lowers friction in boundary and mixed lubrication: the moments when the oil film alone cannot keep surfaces apart.

It is designed to work alongside the anti-wear chemistry already present in a finished engine oil, not to replace it.

1. Warm the engine to operating temperature and switch it off.
2. Shake the bottle and add the full contents to the engine oil.
3. Run the engine for a few minutes so the product mixes with the oil.
